Angelica is one of those people that seem to simply shine. They enter spaces with a burst, and wrap you up and spin you around in their bubbly energy. She came to my atelier shortly before the start of the pandemic, and was undecided between two very different designs.
Once the chaos started, they decided to postpone the ceremony till the fall of 2020, and they opted for a smaller, more intimate gathering. This had an effect of the sort of dress she wanted to wear, so we started brainstorming possibilities over the phone, as she live across Italy and a second visit was not possible also due to the restrictions on travel.
What resulted was this very unique, deceitfully simple one shoulder sheath dress, in pure silk crepe de chine, with the added detail of a silk georgette shawl-sleeve draping from one shoulder and wrapping the wearer in a misty magic flow.
The most unique aspect of this gown is the dripping abstract cascade of color pouring down the shoulder, in hues ranging from yellow to pink to magenta to purple.
Angelica artfully mixed these strong, vibrant hues throughout her look, from the shoes to the bouquet to her makeup and the result is striking. She captured a bold elegance that is both refined and over the top at once.
