Carina emailed me from her hometown in Sweden just weeks after I returned from a short vacation in Stockholm… so my heart warmed towards her right from the start! She wrote that she was dreaming of wearing one of my gowns, and that this specific one had caught her eye. The sample was on sale, and low and behold… it was just right for her, as if it had been made on purpose! After some minor adjustments, it was ready to ship and I was so thrilled to hear how much she loved it.
She decided to add a bit of lace detail, taken from her precious stash of antique laces from her grandmother and I think it was the perfect touch.
I was even more thrilled that she was willing to share some photos of her happy wedding day with me, and reading her email just makes me tear up.
The dress is a blend of the Hedera and the Lunaria designs, worn without a belt.

I have sent a few photos to you from our wedding on June the 9th. I tried to pick some where THE BEAUTIFUL DRESS shows in its glory.
I am very grateful that I found you and this lovely creation for my wedding day. You were so helpful and changed it to match my measurements. It came out perfect. The Dress was the one for me, just as I knew the moment I saw it on your Etsy shop.
I was elfin-like my friends said, and I can assure you I have never been described like that before. It was The Dress. I have no words to describe the softness and the feel and the colour of the silk. It’s like made in heaven.
Our wedding took place in a tiny village in the middle of beautiful woodland, Tivedstorp. The village is from the 17th Century and is now a popular youth hostel. In the pastures you can see cows, horses and sheep. It’s a fantastic place to be and a fairytale-like place to celebrate a wedding!!
