Ada chose an especially comfy wedding dress for her ceremony: the couple took a two week hike to the location, and the last day they hiked in their wedding attire! Comfy was the keyword.
She showed up at my atelier one winter afternoon, with a backpack on her shoulders, covered in snow.
She was marrying her love in the early spring. It was to be a simple, intimate ceremony in a small chapel in the area of Assisi, Umbria. She needed her wedding attire to be first and foremost practical. Light, comfortable, un-constricting. This was because the plan was to reach the wedding day and location on foot, as the culmination of a two week hike with her fiancé. The last tract of the hike would take place on the wedding day, in her wedding dress!
Ada chose the soft and light Anemone skirt, in blush and ivory, paired with a custom version of the Aster top. We added a wide band of cotton lace in a warm ivory, taken from the Lichen design.
