Serena’s dress is a blend of two dresses of my collection: the Hedera and the Eucalyptus.
It features a slip base dress of double layer crepe de chine with spaghetti straps (the Saponaria), and a loose, flowing sheer silk over dress that starts like the Hedera, elbow length, but then grows wider and wider as it approaches the bottom, adding a touch of drama to an otherwise minimalist gown.
Worn with a wide satin belt under the Kaftan, there is nothing uncomfortable or constricting about this dress. The body is softly enveloped and the lightness of the silks move and flow with the movement of the wearer.
The dramatic, beautiful photos are by Ilaria Marchione and they are set in my own Reggio Emilia!
