Elli, my Desert bride from 2018. She got in touch with me last spring, because she had fallen in love with the Potentilla dress. There was a problem though: she also loved the Papaver gown! Luckily, because everything we make here at Larimeloom is custom from start to finish, it was easy for me to find a solution!
We discussed for a while what she liked of each dress: the drape and color play of Potentilla. The soft flowy sleeves of Papaver. The velvet bodice of the Potentilla. The A-line cut of Papaver.
Here for you are some photos of the result! We cut the skirt in panels, so it did not hug the hips as much as the sample did, we added white chiffon straps, to match the white organza overlay, which we cut longer, so it trailed softly behind her.
She added a sash at the waist and then eloped with her fiancée, with an incredibly romantic evening desert celebration.

Lucia,
Congratulations on your move and your beautiful new studio!
I thought you’d enjoy these pictures. The photographer is Talitha Tarro, and the wedding was held at Desert Harbor Retreat near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The dress was absolutely amazing. Not only did it look and feel great, but at the end of the ceremony, dark on the mountain, I easily looped the drape up over my shoulder and hiked down!
Warmest wishes,
Elli
