Nelle parole di Sara:
Dear Lucia,
When searching for my wedding dress, it was very important for me to support an artisan dressmaker instead of the bridal industry at large. The moment I discovered Lucia’s designs, I knew it was going to be impossible to purchase a dress from anyone else.
I fell in love with the timeless minimalism and old world romanticism of Papaver, which was a perfect complement to the vision I had in mind for our wedding day. During the design process, Lucia was incredibly responsive and helped me navigate so many important decisions, such as train length and shoe height. Her turnaround time was exceptional and the packaging it arrived in was even more so.
When I slipped the dress on for the first time, it was a flawless fit—no alterations needed. I could not believe how elegant and comfortable it was, even with the corset closure! While I adore practically every detail about this dress, the most outstanding feature is its versatility. I wore the sleeves loose for the ceremony, which appeared dreamy and formal, and then pushed them up for the reception, which relaxed the look and allowed for greater range of motion. The ability to bustle the train up and secure it was pivotal since my husband and I had choreographed our first dance. There was a surprising amount of footwork with several dips and spins, but the train stayed in place for the entire number!
Many of our guests stopped me to praise the design and touch the luxurious chiffon. They said it looked as if the dress was made for me, and I told them that it surely was. Thank you, Lucia, for your artistry and your superb craftsmanship. I could not have imagined a more exquisite dress for my wedding day!
