A Hand Painted Mother of the Bride Dress Inspired by Watercolor Tones

I created this custom mother of the bride look as a piece of wearable art, featuring hand painted silk, layered textures, and soft watercolor inspired tones designed entirely remotely through a fully bespoke process.
A Custom Mother of the Bride Look Designed as Wearable Art
Beyond the daughter's bridal look , I also created a completely custom mother of the bride outfit and honestly, it deserves a moment of its own.
As you’ll discover in the photos below, this custom mother of the bride dress was designed as a true piece of wearable art. Every fabric panel was individually hand painted by hand, one layer at a time, creating soft tonal variations in shades of blue, seafoam green, sage, aqua, and watercolor inspired tones that blend beautifully into one another.
The layered silk skirt has incredible texture and movement, giving the entire look an artistic and sculptural feel while still remaining soft, fluid, and effortless to wear. Paired with a flowing powder blue silk blouse, the final result feels elegant, refined, and deeply personal without ever feeling overly formal.
This bespoke mother of the bride look was created entirely remotely together with Johanna’s mother, making the whole process incredibly collaborative and meaningful despite the distance.
The final result is timeless in a very artistic and unconventional way. Expressive, emotional, one of a kind and honestly, pure art.

THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE LOOK:
features the hand dyed Mida skirt layered with the hand dyed Calandra shirt, finished with the hand painted Nettle belt and a custom made silk bodice created exclusively for her. Soft watercolor shades and layered textures flow together through the entire silhouette, giving the look an artistic and deeply refined feel.
Every piece was individually handmade and custom created from the fabric up, entirely tailored to her measurements through a fully bespoke process designed specifically for her silhouette and presence
